Can one of the Alienware reps please enlighten me as to why on EARTH it takes SO long for the m17x to arrive in Europe, at this rate ill be buying a 17" montevina which would prob be out sooner. When is this going to be released, I hate the non disclosure policy at Alienware. Even just timeframe info would be helpful.

    Hear, Hear...

It's also annoying to find that Australia now also have them..... Why Not the Uk?

As Alienwarez has already mentioned, a idea of time would be good... even a hint would be better than being kept in the dark...

AW is WAY WAY to FAR from a good customer approach !! So I don think AW is going to let us know. We will know when they have the m17x in the .co.uk site. Sad but true

I just spoke to Shaun in the Uk CS separtment, he told me they haven't been given release confirmation from the states, so expect mid July to August for a release date...

He didn't seem to know why (or wouldn't say!) this was, just that until the states give the go-ahead, they will not release the m17x...

Mind you, it seems the USA have supply issues, they are delaying shipping/building the m17x due to parts not being available for the demand...

Surely they should have realised that delaying the release would make anyone who wants the m17x, order it straight away...

Any news about the release date or YEAR?. Looks to me that AW is capable to deliver the m17x in a very short time (without the AlienFX KB) in the US, but the still not able to define the release date in EUROPE. !!!! WTF??

if sean cant answer your question then none of them can. that man was the only person on CS that i wanted to deal with and i must admit that he is an assett to AW.

roughly working it out taking into account the m15x it will most prob be at least 2 months between the usa and europe.

just looking at the websites gives you an idea how far behind we are. was it
3-4 weeks ago that the .com site got a shiney new upgrade.

i dont think there support is that bad, i called a guy regarding the m17x in australia, and he was very helpful and clever. i also emailed them about the m15x's problems and they responded in 1 hour!! and it wasnt 'give us your account number, we are sorry' it was a decent responce.

you will have a long wait. monteniva IS NOT being released on the m15/17x
maybe on the next new model that AW bring out but your guess is as good as the rest of us when that will be. maybe the end of 2008 beginning 2009

We're putting forth all efforts to release this for international sale and we're sorry for the wait. If I had a time frame for you guys, I would share it, but unfortunately we do not have this information.

Thanks for that James, we are aware that you cannot give out information randomly.

I am curious as to WHY it's taking so long to get the m17x in the Uk?
Is there some sort of problem or just parts not being available?

USA is the biggest market they have. making it available in europe would mean having to send parts to ireland, even if only a few orders come in. these parts would then not be available in the USA.

Been waiting since 2007...the Rock SL8 looks sexier as each day goes by...if there's nothing by the end of next week then I'm off to Rock!!!

It's BS that they won't give a release date, really irritating..makes me think how unreliable the rest of their customer service would be if I did buy from them!

AW isnt seeming to realise that having euro's atm is alot better than dollars. So if they could sell M17x's and receive euro's it would be a smart thing to do than just to sell it in the States.
