what sort of battery is it.is it like a brick or a flat tray.
if its flat then yes it replaces the cd/dvd tray. they are interchanable so if you are doing a long journey you put the extra battery in but then you cant use the cd/dvd tray. i think there is a release clip on the side of the tray.

cant tell from the picture, need a side angle view.
at a guess its a smartbay battery. is it slightly bigger than a cd.

so whats the problem. did you want a normal battery that fits on the back of the computer like the original one.

okay, I got an reply via email from AW saying that this battery goes @ the back of the pc (replacement battery...) so... I removed the current battery, and tried to fit in the new one, but 1 problem, the battery that's at the back of the laptop (right now) has some plastic cover which keeps it in place and makes sure it doesn't fall out but I don't have anything like that for the additional battery
I tried removing that case but it just doesn't wanna move :(

    any ideas?

well it does go in there but it's too small, therefore the plastic case (thing) is needed in order to keep it in place..... you can see it in the pics

i think you need the plastic casing. take the old battery out of the cradle and put the new one in there.
iff i was you i would ring tech support and ask them to explain it to you over the phone
