After reading around the forums and waiting on a 3 time delayed order I am wondering if I ordered right system. I am a casual gamer, all COD games, L4D's, Batman and GTAIV for starters. I had a toshiba that was ok and ran everything ok, I ordered basically a base model M17x with the single 1gb gtx 260m (budget restraints stoped me from maxing out, bought car same day) to play everything. I am not looking for benchmark everything, ran games on medium setting on toshiba without probs. just want smooth running gameplay with great graphics and little lag. So I guess I am looking for a lil reassurance that I have a system that will handle what I am looking for, not handle what top line pro gamers want but what I use my system for, and if in the future I wanna upgrade I will. Looking for anyone with same specs to share their expierences.....Thanks

I originally purchased a system with a single gtx260 and wound up selling it to upgrade to the specs in my sig. I was like you and THOUGHT that I would not need or want a dual gpu setup. The 260 is not a bad card at all and you will not be dissapointed as it will run most at the specs you are looking for. But, after playing for a bit you may get bitten by the bug to run full res on hi graphics settings. Dell/Alienware make it a nightmare to upgrade or add a card. It is VERY expensive and difficult to install for the average user. I would reco that you go with SLI 260's and Hi res screen and leave the rest stock. You can upgrade the cpu, hd, ram, dvd to blu ray easily later. The whole advantage of the M17x is the option to sli or crossfire....Just my 2 cents GL

yes fastlappy was right.. There is no point getting single gpu or u wan to go for m15x which is more protably and cheaper ... M17x is only worth with SLI or CrossFireX not with a single GPU... The single graphic would last but not for a long period because more and more games are coming out
