ok lets say I order one (might have the money now yay!) anyway which of the two LCD's at this point is the best one...?

Also how do the LCD's stack up in performance which is the best performing and which is the best buy? Should I go core 2 duo or quad? I skimped on the m17 on the cpu and have kind of regretted it.

Which ram the lower 1066 or the higher 1333? I'm probably gonna stick with 4 gigs unless 6 might be useful?

Also who thinks its worth it to get the top of the line card instead of the next one down for graphics?

LCD's are the screens... go for the 1900x1200 WUXGA....
I really like Quads they are great now and will be later as well (but that's all up to your budget) 4gb is fine and the 1333mhz for the extra 50 is worth it

a dual core is fine for games and unless your going to be doing encoding and other audio video stuff its not worth it right now.

1333 ram is pretty pointless considering the OC abilitys of the bios

only diff in the screens is realastate ...1900 res is bigger and has smaller text simple as that

its always easier to get the best cards when you buy but you can get better cards later(more expensive and harder to find)

For games lower resolutions equal better game performance usually.

Better performance.. NO.... Better looking and more immersive yes... Generally the higher the resolution it is like turning your settings up, your framerate goes down... Granted with the M17x you won't have to worry about that too much but some games you may have to go a little lower than 1900x1200 to play at max settings

yes butters 1440 will run better due to the lower res but you can just lower the res if it does not run well at 1900 res

You can sometimes loose quality if you downscale on a screen that has a higher native.

Both great choices, i think the full HD res will benefit more though, side by side browsing etc, its all good :D

you replying to what i said? I hope you mean the opposite of whatever you said because LOWER resolution does give better performance in games depending on settings/cpu too. If someone wants to max out fps and settings then lower resolution is the way to go. Also lower native res looks better than lower up scaled res on a high res lcd.

He's saying to Bios will allow you to overlock your ram in addition to yor CPU so it isn't needed, however it is just like starting with a lower frequency CPU... the higher you start from (the base level) the obvious higher levels you will be able to overclock it to... so I wouldn't say it is pointless
