Why does the m17x come with a LP171WU1 lcd screen, and i got a
LPLE400?![]()
-
thats the same screen.. the lple400 is just the hardware id for that screen you did get the lp171wu1, that screen also has lplf0000, lplf0032, lplf600, among others its all the same screen
-
Well I'm not to IMPRESSED with this screen comming from AW, it looks like someone wet my screen with a damp cloth
-
btw, what are we supposed to wipe or system with?
Do we get a cloth, cuz i don't see one. -
yeah i had one that was the same way the lplf600.. the ones i listed are all the lp171wu1 though.. my second one is much better so i would get another screen if they will send one, actually i have three sitting here the lplf600, lplf400, and lplf0032 and they are all the 171wu1 on the labels on the back of them
-
Thanks -

tropics: do not use the word "wtf" on our forums again. It is especially inappropriate that you started a thread with that as the title. It was most unhelpful. Use descriptive thread titles so we know what to expect when we open the thread.
Regarding the different screen types - Alienware never promised you a certain screen model, and they can't. It is like this with all manufacturers/brands, including Sager. They use what screens they have in stock, and they get them from different suppliers, which is why there is variability.
