that is pretty impressive considering i had to wait about 2 months to get my m15x. im guessing they prebuilt some of them to wait for people to order and then they will just add the metal plate on it and ship it out.

they also probobly got alot of cancelled orders since people probobly got fed up with waiting. IMO there are better 17 inch laptops than the m17x anyway.

It`s easy, the system runs only 8800M GTX SLI, and they probably built a lot of them with the X9000 CPU,so all they need to do is add an HDD and drivers, and voila.

Hmm? The processor was one of the options you're able to upgrade!

You can't get the a 2.0GHz one... the GPU is locked as is the keyboard... aside from that you seem to be free.

I'd be interested if a) I lived in the US and b) it was the illuminated k/b you were locked too rather than the non-illuminated

Also, why would they put a 2.0GHz processor on a "gamers choice" machine?

you can change the processor. the price will go up. they put the 2.0 ghz there so it would look cheaper and you would click on it.

This doesn't make any sense. I ordered mine on May 5th and still nothing and people can order today and get it the same time I do? What the hell?

I think What they are doing is Getting the Full setup from the OEM Manufacture. So the GPU, CPU and Ram are all together beforce they are sent to Alienware. So All they have to do is Test it and make a Name plate. Then it sent.
