m17x touch pad stays lit in go dark mode

Hmm i have the M17x in go dark mode so the keys are all not lit.... i changed my ram removed battery when i put back on my touch pad stays lit???? any help thanks guys..hmm also noticed alienware logo on the screen bottom is out??/

Alien Head icon in the task tray ---> Right Click on it and un-check "Keep Status Zones On During Go Dark".

 

hmm ok unchecked rebooted all still dark just want alien head above keys and the bar lit caps and touch sensors all is dark lol lol

There is a known issue where "go dark" can often fail to enable/disable status/touchpad lights when used. If this occurs, check the "keep status zones on during go dark" and try enabling alien fx. If "keep status zones on during go dark" is already checked, uncheck it, enable alien fx, and recheck it.

I'll give it a shot i got everything back the way i want it .... alienhead lit in blu touch bar lit in red but weird the touch pad remains lit???? lol lol anymore suggestions...

 

The touchpad will always remain lit unless you edit the .xml of the theme file. You cant turn it off via the AlienFX GUI. I can't do it now, but if you want, tell me the colors you want and I will edit it and post it back here.

 

Here is the theme file (Blue AlienHead, Red Touchstrip). DO NOT select a color for the touchpad or it will be locked and you will not be able to remove the touchpad color without editing the .xml.
