my old alienware is turnin itself off randomly and im sure its a heat issue.

i had problems with the fan and the local repair place altered it so the fan was ALWAYS on...

is there anyway for me to combat this problem?

like some kind of monitor to see how hot it is getting so i know if its gonna switch off?

you can use hwmonitor or speedfan. More people might give you a few suggestions.

One question I have is the Make of the Laptop. Becuse so many people get them confused even the person that make post. Check underneath and under the battery.

And if it is heat related, clean the dust out of your heatsinks and put new thermal paste on the main component dies.
