    Does anyone know the specific model my m9700 knocks off from Clevo? I've found a very detailed service manual for a m9750 which is very similar. I'm debating a total tear down.

    It's actually not a clevo. It's an Arima W830DA. Same company/division responsible for the OCz Whitebook. Btw, I'm typing a reply to your PM right now.

    Alienware M9700 isn't made by Clevo. It's made by Arima.
    As for the model #. I'm not completely sure.

    The M9700 is identical to the M9750 in terms of the casing. The motherboard, however, is completly different as the M9700 only supports AMD processors while the M9750 supports older dual core processors.
