I have an m9700 and the wireless internet is not working properly. I try to play call of duty 4 and every 30 - 60 seconds i'll loose conection and be rubber banded around for a few seconds, then it will return to normal. this happens when i am right next to the router. It is way worse when i am farther away from the router, lasting up to a minute, but happens less often. How do i fix this?
    Thanks

I'd have put this in the networking subforum, check your connection's consistency first by opening cmd (start > run > cmd) and typing "ping 4.2.2.2 -t" and watch that for a while for destination host unreachable

If it's dropping off there we've at least begun to narrow down the problem.

yeah, sorry, i guess that would have been a better form, i thought this might be a common problem on these laptops though.

i'm running that thing right now, most are between 19 and 24 ms, but one was over 2000, and another one timed out in the span of about two minutes. those are the only wired ones right now. a freind of mine is playing an online game right now though.

me an my roomate both have problems on the router, but its new and some other guys have had no problems with it, so i think that there might be nothing wrong with it...
