    Hey guys,

I feel a little outdated with all these m15 and m17 threads running around! Anyhow, I recently decided to jump to Vista (Home Premium) and everything appears to be running fine... my one question is regarding errors when putting the laptop to sleep.

I get a bunch of errors in my event log (System category) to the tune of this:
"ACPI: ACPI BIOS is attempting to write to an illegal PCI Operation Region (0x4), Please contact your system vendor for technical assistance."

They don't seem to affect performance or cause any instability issues, however, I'm curious. Can any of you other m9750 owners confirm whether this happens when putting the laptop to sleep? I do have the latest BIOS by the way.

I have never had any noticeable errors when placing my m9750 into sleep mode(I never checked the event log though). Once in a while it failed to come out of sleep mode and I had to reboot. Other than that, no problems.

Thats Vista bug and there are lots of variants of that. I would recommend to change the setting to NOT sleep but hibernate instead on Sleep button and lid close action

Thanks for the responses guys, I did do research beforehand and noticed many people having issues with the sleep function, particularly with laptops.
