My m9750 makes random music tunes usually some rock tune for about 2 secs every hour or so. Im not sure if theres is a timetable or not but its been like this since i bought it at the beginning of december. Its not something that i would fuss over enough to use alienware respawn but its distracting. Im using xp Pro and have installed some games and software(Titan quest+titan quest immortal throne and COD 4, COD UO and COD). Avast free ver, 7-zip, 3D Mark 06, Super PI, AIM Instant Messanger free ver,a driver from laptop2videogo, adobe reader 8, itunes And all the software my laptop came with.

Remove iTunes-that might be the culprit.

Probably not iTunes if it's a random occurrence when it's off. Sounds like a crappy little virus to me.

Try Spybot Search & Destroy, it will weed out any sort of spyware/adware. Update your antivirus software and run a scan with that too. It is best to do both things from Safe Mode (press F8 on restart, select Safe Mode (no networking)).

Are you sure it rock? If its classical like "Fur elise" or even "It's a Small, Small World"(google them if you dont know the songs) then it may be this:

    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;261186

But take Chaz's advice and run complete scans with both AV and AS softwares just to make sure.

I am having a similar problem as my computer makes random noises at random times. It moos or growls and sometimes plays a short music clip. Does anyone have any idea how to solve this?
