    ok so when you press like volume up or volume down a display is suppose to show up on the screen. Ever since 2 days ago i started noticing that when i press the buttons like wireless button, a display doesnt show up. Any way to fix this?

    it also doesnt ask me if i want to turn stealth mode on anymore when i press the stealth mode button

    Make sure you are on BIOS A02, reinstall the OSD and CommandCenter.

    I have a similar, if not the same, problem. Rather than take the time to troubleshoot, I made a batch file as follows:

    @echo off
    tasklist /nh /fi "imagename eq osd_main.exe" | grep -i "osd_main.exe" > nul
    if errorlevel 1 "C:\Program Files\OSD\Launch.exe"

    If you don't have Grep.exe, replace "grep -i" with "find /i". Copy the 3 lines into notepad and save it with a ".bat" or ".cmd" extension to wherever you keep your batch files, etc.

    What this does is check the running processes for "osd_main.exe". If it's not running, it executes "Launch.exe". I'm not sure what else is launched, maybe the media touch controls. I suspect there is a conflict during the boot process. I don't know if it has to do with overclocking, or using all 4 processors to boot instead of the default 1, or something else.

    I created a shortcut to this batch file in my startup folder. In the shortcut properties (right-click menu), I selected to start window minimized, so it just shows up on the task bar momentarily.

    That's a very good solution. I had this problem with Vista actually, not anymore with Windows 7. What I did back then was make a Task (from Task Scheduler) at login, with highest privileges for OSD_Main.exe.

    Now everytime the computer started it would execute the task and have OSD_Main.exe running. You wouldn't notice a thing of the process, and no double click required. Of course, your solution, although needing an extra double-click, is more tech savvy ;)

    Sure, that'll work. I just decided to make sure it wasn't already running first. At one time I was seeing 2 instances of "launch_cc.exe" running in Task Manager. I noticed it was being started from two different locations in the registry. I removed one of them and have only seen one instance since. I didn't know if the same thing would happen with "osd_main.exe". Apparently not. I'm glad it's working for you now!

    WaR, it doesn't require any clicking at all if you put the shortcut in your Startup folder. Then it runs automatically when Windows starts. Anyway, glad to here it doesn't happen with Win 7. I never found the cause and life's too short to worry about it.
