Yea same problem. But let me guess You just used the mobity modder right ? In that case it wont work for me since it wont scale to the whole screen

Checking E's previous .inf's to see if i can find the line to fix that.

 

I got that error too...I clicked try again and it worked...

These drivers got me my highest 3dmark score I've been able to manage...got 13996 - so close to 14k dammit! That's an increase of a couple hundred points from what I was getting wirh 9.1.

Lol, indeed it works. Spamming the restart button for a few minutes allows you to download it at some point.

Gonna give them a go before i start messing with the .inf hopefully it will scale properly

of coarse i figured every one used 64 bit ill mob mod 32 bit ones now ....sigh

the 9.2 drives will work only for the 3870 or all of the radeon cards?

Meh, still the scaling issue. Dont get why some people (including me) have this problem.

Just installed the drivers, again when i use any other resolution except the native one the desktop/game or anything else dont take the while screen :s

 

so cool do the drivers work for all radeon card or do you have to get certain one?

What do you mean by scaling issue?

 

For eg.

When i set my desktop or a game at 1680x1050 instead of 1920x1200. Then the desktop or the game doesnt fill the whole screen. And the settings under Attributes in CCC dont make a difference.

 

oh i had this problem but what i did was alt+enter twice and i was good. try it.

no when you open a game. press it once to get out of full screen and do it again for full screen.

 

Yea i mean i have the same problem with the desktop too. When i change the desktop resolution it doesnt fill the whole screen either. But no alt + enter doesnt work in games just tried

Think E used to have the same problem thats why he modded his driver in a way that the problem gets fixed. Sadly his offline at the moment so i guess i have to wait for him to come online

can't you just copy/paste E's old .inf to make it work for all resolutions etc? you can do that for Nvidia drivers too...

 

Yea, been messing around with the .inf file. Thats what im wondering, where do the actual driver changes come from ? Files only or some of them are part of the .inf too ?

Gonna test now a pure copy/paste to see if it works.

 

the driver changes are far more extensive than the .inf. if i remember correctly, the .inf basically specifies for which cards, and which resolutions, the driver will work.

 

mmm yea remember people telling them to use the old custom inf till they fixed the new one. Checking now if it works.

Nah sadly it doesnt work. It doesnt install the software and at the end installation fails. Probably needs a bit more modifying than just the "CatalogFile=CL_75976.CAT" line

 

the inf file has the ccc version sand driver id those nered to be changed

 

Those doesnt really matter (i changed them) but still even if they were saying v1 its for device manager nothing really important for the installation to fail.

Comparing E's 8.12 and 9.1 .inf files it seems they have a few lines added/changed. So i guess theres more to it

Edit: Aha, think i found something. The other changes was probably the added resolutions. But i think i found the issue which cause it not to install ;p Lets see...

 

Didnt work Cant find anything else in the .inf file that might causing the problem, out of ideas

But still dont get it :s People with M17 can use 1680x1050 resolution with the modded drivers from mobility modder and still scales just fine ? :s

best drivers yet by far!! these 9.2's rock. i modded them when they came out and they are great compared to all previous drivers.

 

What the way did you mod this driver? I mean by mob modded or modded inf by yourself. If you can fix scaling problem like E-wrecked did, plz share to community

 

im sure ican but ill have to wait till tomm to do it i just dont have the time tonight, for now i did a mobmod on it and it works good enough for me at this point.

ill open his older ones up to see what he did to them and if he doesnt respond back by then ill up the 9.2's

 

im looking at his 9.1's right now. ill see what he did to them. ill prob not have time till tomm to mode these though. i do see some of his changes already. im still going through to see what he exactly changed though

ok i put them up there i was stuck with slowwwwww internet and couldnt mob mod any 32 bit...well i couldnt upload them at least

 

do you have 32 or 64? i want someone who knows how to revert back to the old drivers to test those to make sure they work right. ill do 64 now to see if it will work as well

i also added in all of his performance stuff as well. and i didnt have the scaling issue either with mob modded. i guess only some have that and im still not sure why. the mobmodded work fine for me.

my scaled 32bit driver has not been tested yet. i need someone to test it. make sure to add that so people know that. also see post above for the normal mobmod 32bit i uploaded for you
