While you cannot upgrade the processor at a later time the differences in performance between the 4100 and 7300 are minuscule.

HD and memory are most likely your best choice to maximise your $100.

Agreed with Rhodan. There is only ONE differance betweent he SU7300 and SU4100. The SIU 7300 allows you to be able to run virtual systems. If your not doing that, than the SU4100 is perfect. Both processors run at the same speed and score the same on benchmark tests. Your money is better spend going from 2 to 4GB RAM and a better HDD.

New wifi card. I installed the intel 6200 card. huge change! In places I only got 1 bar, I now get 3-4 bars.

no upgrade i can think of within $100, but i would recommend some assecories such as wireless mice like 'orochi' or 'logitch anywhere', anti-glare screen film. and a m11x sleeve. those 3 things should improve your m11x experience greatly.

Yeah buy the stupid sleeve and enjoy your win7 with 2 GB RAM ...

At the end, depends what you need. In terms of performance, yeah getting more RAM. Keep in mind that the new mobile 500GB HD costs slightly below $100 (short Amazon/Newegg search quickly reveals that). So yeah if you need a lot of space then HD.

If you desperately need a mouse, mice like orochi are good, but they're really small. (My wrist is very uncomfortable if I use them.) For that one you also need a bluetooth module - extra $20.

If you do get 2 GB RAM, also keep in mind it will arrive as 2x 1 GB, so if you'll want to upgrade to 4 GB you'll have to buy whole 4 GB.

a good 2x2gb ddr3 kit range from $135 to $150. these 5-5-5 timing kit would be benefit if we get 1066mhz when OC as stated in updated A03 bios. consider that our stock ram operates at 800mhz 6-6-6 timing. strongly recommend ram upgrade if budget allows.

let's assume your system come with 160gb HD. no need for upgrade until you are about to run out of space.
