Hi guys, I have installed nTune and ran the course tuning cycle which not surprisingly did nothing (",)
Has anyone tried the fine tuning test on a m15x or m17x, i'm expecially interested as to the tuning that it actually does, will it increase the clocks until the tests fail and then set them at the fastest they can go at?
I was also wondering about longeavity if the GPU's are clocked a little?
So i guess is it worth it lol

It doesn't work for the m15x either. I've tried it...and I don't want to overclock my GPU just yet.

I had a look at the manual tweaking and when selected appeared to allow me to increase the clock speeds...
The fine tuning says it takes 3 hours and that your machine will ikely crash during the process... Sounds..... Interesting lol
Just wondered if anyone had used this on an Sli rig before?

i have not used it on a laptop, but i did use it on my desktop.
the pgm goes thru several tests, and will reboot your system at various intervals.
i was able to get extra speed out of utilizing the pgm, but there were times that the pc would freeze as i was loading the various configs i had set it up for.
in the long run, i uninstalled it....not really worth the hassle of the pc freezing at various times for me.... -

Cool, i don't think i'll risk it then, i'll remove it and just use the Nvida control as normal lol
Thanks for that

Without going deep into it DON'T use the tuning feature in Ntune. If you google it a little bit you'll see that Ntune can actually change your bios leaving you with a computer that won't boot.

Yup i did a bit of research and it can apparently break a nice new m17x, so i've removed it.
Thanks for the warning though... phew (",)
