Hello folks.
Well I ahappy with my purchase. No buyer's regret, however i need to iron a few wrinkles out.
Isuues. Second time i tried to boot the machine i got blues screen memmory dump, so as 3, 4, 5, 6.
at that point i just respawn ( since all i had is office and a few updates and antivirus installed).
comp seemed to be fine. no crashes. I wanted to disable integraded card and only run on 280s, but when i disable it in bios (At least i though that what I was doing) I would get a blue screen.
I tried overclocking 9300 to 11.5, but had to back down, to factory to wait for resolution on GPU.
So SLI seems to work fine (system tray says it is in perfomance or boost mode).
I don't like Vista. I have a dual boot with built 7100 RC. runs flawlessly, however my video cards (280) need drivers. my performance index is 1 (yes one) for the system over all (still quicker than Vista).
I tried beta drivers, i tried official drivers gives me a message that i am not running 64 bit vista/W7 message.
AW control center would not install either since it saying i am in non supported OS
could not get laptop under vista to display on external screen or tv (monitor or hdmi plugs).
however after flashing bios to A01 works flawlessly.
any suggestions?
thanks guys!

PS one thing i wish it had different-the darn mouse rockerclick...give me a buttos not a rocker... well dinovo Edge fixes for me, just can't get used to the rocker thing. and the touch strip, all buttons but volume up go effortlessly, but one button... fat fingers?

congrats on the system. I also like the dinovo edge.
check the m17x driver thread for drivers -
a search goes a long way, drivers are covered in The Moo's M17x Drivers thread.
You also should have a Resource CD that has all the default drivers that came with the system, but moo's thread has more updated drivers. -
unfortunatly i tried all of the above. That's why i am posting in forum. NONE of the driveres, yes MOO's drivere thread, Dells drivers along with my respawn disk....
i am puzzled. a number of programs not recognizing Win7 as win7....

to avoid these confusions in the future, make that clear in your OP
I would say call Dell, but apparently they don't support Win 7 at all yet and will tell you as much.... -
ok I will jump on someone elses poop, so now i have to come to clouser.
I AM DUMB @$$!!!!
ok i got it of my chest, a few yoga classes and perhaphs i would be capable to kick my own butt!
drivers didn't recognized my Win7 os as 64 bit because IT IS NOT!!!!!!
I accidently installed 32 bit ( ihad both 32 and 64 bit versions side by side and accidently labeled the wrong one)
I discovered it yesterday when I decided to OC. changed multiplier to yield me a 2.8Ghz i am happy
oh yeah I poped the dvd with correct os before leaving for work
will deal with it when get home....
geez I am a moran!
ilber....happy playing! -
