    Hi,I just instaled Spliter Cell Conviction and I think that I need now better driver for GeForce 8800GTX in m15x.In game some shadow and screen are not like they should to be.The screen bleeding.I have the same issue with another game and higher driver helped. Is any change that I can install higher driver than 186.03 on m15x(first gen) withuot any problem?Please help I need to play, sam fisher is waiting :)

    I would have to disagree with DR650SE, as the 190 series of drivers don't work with the area 51 m15x because of binary graphics.

    Try 186.81 from nvidia instead.

    Ah, didn't know that. Although it does state that the 8800M GTX is one of the supported products. Plus I'm pretty sure thats what I have on my 8600M GT.

    Also check out http://laptopvideo2go.com/. They have all kinds of drivers there.

    If you're going to check out laptopvideo2go, try driver version 186.82.

    Same performance as 186.81, but with proper downclocking on idle.

    No worries DR650SE, I've tried most of the 190 series of drivers on my m15x to no avail :(

    Ahh. Better to take the word of somone wth the same computer and tried it then somone reading it online ;) It's really to bad alienware doesn't support thier older stuff with more driver updates. I'll blame Delll :p

    what that is mean that 8800M GTX is one of the supported?I will have Blue screen or I will can not use stealth mode or what?A really need this 190 series driver.Can use my laptop under this new driver or is a crash after instalation?

    Yes, the 8800m gtx is supported by the 190 series of drivers.

    The problem comes in the fact that the area 51 m15x comes with binary graphics, which don't seem to be compatible with the 190 series of drivers.

    You can try, it won't bluescreen or anything. After installation of the driver, you will get an error under device manager, display adapters.

    If it's any consolation, I recently bought Splinter Cell conviction and now have it installed on my m15x. Runs pretty well with 186.82 on my 8800m gtx.

    what about the latest driver from 180 series,189.74?are they supported binary graphics?

    I haven't tried 189.74 to be honest. Quite satisfied with the performance with 186.82, just played Splinter Cell a while ago. Didn't have any problems with it. I suggest you give it a try :)

    yeah all the 190+ drivers and the later 180 drivers give me BSOD as well.

    How long it gona be like that?AW will not release newest driver for m15x members?Son or leter people like me will need newest graphic driver.
