Hi i need help I have an Alienware M5500 series laptop given to me mid last year absolutely awesome until it started dumping external memory.

any ideas on what the problem could be and how to fix it?

i have already tried rebooting the operating system windows xp and reloading all the drivers etc on the hard drive but nothing is happening i still get the blue screen of death.

Did you try last known good boot? (F8) Do you have any system restore points you can go back to? What was the last change to the system (hardware or software) that you did? Are you doing anything in particular when the system BSODs?
