The 5850 with DDR5 is much better than the 260m.

I'll agree with that since you can basically OC the 5850 easily to 5870 status or just flash the card with a 5870 bios (but I don't recommend that one)...

Dang, I wish I could get the 5850 instead of the 260m I'm getting. It's already in production though. :/

Everyone on here makes it seem like the 260m is garbage. Is that true?

Did Dell contact you or something? Or is this just when you were ordering...

well i emailed a rep earlier before i ordered and he didnt email me untill after i ordered ...so he got me to cancel my order because i told him i had a budget and he gace me a price after taxes for 1870. and includes nextday shipping. I had the choice to get the 260m witch i originaly had the ati 5850 but i stuck with ati.. and have bigger HDD. 1080p. 6gb 1333mhz ram. and the 5300 wifi card. plus the normal stuff i already had.. but those are what he upgraded.. my first order was a little over $2000.. but since he included the nextday shipping ill be getting it in the same time. Its not THAT much of a deal but i appreciate the deal he gave me so im happy :] .it is more then what i had

Dang. I'm very unhappy with the video card I got. And also I got the Dell wireless card which I really really don't want.
    Hmm.

I'm most likely just going to get the 5870 anyways so it's no biggie. I want a better wireless card though lol. I guess I'll have to buy that too
