    odd problem

    hey guys my m17x is using its 9400 gpu instead of the dual 280m's and the battery indicator says "plugged in, not charging" im sure i set some odd setting and im not sure how to revert it back to using the dual 280m's and charging when plugged in. any ideas?

    First check in BIOS -> Graphics -> Both hybrid and integrated should be enabled for you to see all the cards.
    If they are enabled and you still don't see the GPUs, go to device manager and check what it says about the driver.

    If you are running on battery and see only 9400 - it's ok. to revert to 280 you still have to go to the BIOS and enable BOTH.
    If you want to run on battery with 280s - just unplug the power when booted to OS.
    if the battery is not charging when plugged, turn off, remove the battery, press&hold the power button for 20sec, bring back the battery and power on...

    This has come up before and a power drain should fix it.

    sorry guys i actually just saw that thread like minutes after posting and a power drain did work. i had to go to work so i couldnt post that i found the answer or delete. thanks for the replies anyways!
