lol ok well alienware screwed me over they did not have a 2nd hard drive installed and ready with the raid 0.
i just found out they did not have a 2nd hard drive in.
also let me ask you guys something, if i have a 160 gb hard drive, shouldn't the system main drive read 160gb space total? my main drive reads total 143 gb its the total amount of the hard drive. -
well...does alienware have a hidden partiton for system restore...that might what is eating up your hard drive space....

You dont have RAID0, so thats a moot point; and no, you will not get 160GB with a 160GB HDD, HDD manufacturers have been pulling this for decades; which is why recently one of the standards boards TRIED changing GB to 1000 and GiB to 1024 (which I can't see working as the old terminology is too ingrained).
Your 160GB is in fact 155GB (GiB), throw on the OS/programme restore partition at about 10GB and you're about there. This only gets worse as your HDDs get larger, I only get about 598 out of my 640GB setup even without restore partitions.
ok guys a slight problem with raid 0
