    does anyone know if the dell m1730 motherboard would work with the old model of alienware m17x?

    im considering getting the dell m1730 mobo to replace the faulty mobo of old m17x.

    Absolutely not! Dell mobo don't support any MXM cards! Uses 1 single card with 2 GPU's on it, with a special connector!
