    plugged in , not charging

    hi all , i have this problem , my battery wont charge, it keeps saying "plugged in not charging " i have already tried with the function key which enables and disables battery , it works from time to time but i always have the problem it does not work , its kind of odd , since my lap is brand new.
    help with this please!!!

    If your battery is only partially discharged, in order to preserve battery life it will not charge it until it is past a certain point. Discharge the battery more in order to kick it to start charging.

    some laptops don't charge when it is plugged in near 97% or higher. i remember hearing that is designed that way because it is better for the battery

    want a solution that works every time ?

    here we go:

    Toggle fn+f2 to the GREY battery icon that says battery enabled.
    Then count 10 whole seconds and check the battery meter.
    Does it still say not charging ?

    Next step :
    while the laptop is connected to the power adapter, lift it's front, take out the battery for a second, return the battery. it will start charging immediately.

    Works every time.
