I just use the sleeve it came in. But I put that into my backpack with my textbooks. The sleeve is only there to prevent it from getting dirty in the event that the wrapper on my sandwich opens and then there's crumbs everywhere.

I would recommend a laptop backpack. I just bought one a Swiss laptop backpack for $50. I don't use my AW briefcase that much..In fact I'm thinking of selling it.

This is what it looks like in my bag. I always use the little sleeve just in case.

I'm using an old Targus backpack I picked up eight years ago that's worked surprisingly well all this time (two 14", a 15.4", a 14.1", and now the m15x). I'm guessing it's long since out of production, but the specs are available on Targus' site in the discontinued area. :p

Since the m15x is larger than most regular 15.4" systems, it's a tight squeeze in the back section, but the backpack is nicely partitioned to carry everything, and it's been toughing it out through quite a bit of abuse for several years now.

I use the alienware backpack and love it. It has nice padding and is big enough for me to fit my other things that i need to take with me. I would definetly recommend it.

Your right, might as well attach a "steal me sign" right next to it. Not to smart to buy the aw bag, even if your 6.3" 250lb, thiefs can be sneaky!

As mentioned before, for those of u in cities/who travel alot it won't be a great idea. For us college student however, it seems to be a viable option. Everyone is gonna find out sooner or later just by having an Alienware in your dorm. The bag you use can't hide that.. unfortunately ;)

I'm looking into two options mentioned earlier in another thread but I don't have the links as I'm at office (part-time). Will attach them later :)

    Here: Bodyglove Sleeves
and..... I lost the other link :(

well... when intel still had their version of this in the intel store I bought it for $40...

    http://www.luggage.com/asp/show_detail.asp?sku=VK1064&refid=FR52-VK1064

It is the most glorious laptop bag ever. I have beating it to hell and back, and it shows little wear (trampled by a track teammate once... with his spikes no less)! My laptop is pristine and I have brought my heavy as all get out 14.1" C-140x w/ 12 cell battery to 3 nations, 7 Continental trips, and about a hundred trips through the halls of my high school.

Currently I use a Obus Forme Laptop backpack, i'd like to note that this thing BARELY holds a 15" laptop, neither the Toshiba I had in it before, nor the m15x fit very well in the bag. it should be fine for anything less (14" and smaller) but it's really not quite big enough for a 15.4" monster like the m15x.

I've gone out of my way to call up customer service and order up an Alienarmor case in the 15" form factor. only came in grey, which matches the laptop, but meh... while on the phone, i also ordered a smartbay battery, but yeah.

    AlienArmor soon :)

I use the Belkin Neoprene 15.4" sleeve with an Ogio backpack (forgot the name, it was one of those promotional packs). The sleeve is a tight fit, but snug, and the backpack is normally for 17"ers.

My backpack for it... and every other laptop that has come before XD Fits up to a 17" but works best with 15" ones. I keep it in the sleeve in there because I'm an art student and I don't want to get pencil shavings or charcoal into the ports.

That's where it is 90% of the time. At the moment my drawing desk is the only place I can set it up. However... the cooling pad pwns for when I'm gaming.
