I have never slipstreamed the sata drivers before.

Have you tried the other way?
The way which uses floppy drives?

When you bought your M7700, it should have come with a USB floppy drive. If you install the SATA drivers onto the floppy, you can simply load the SATA drivers from the floppy when installing windows XP. You just simply press F6 when windows prompts you to, and you can select the files which you want to load from the floppy.

If you do not have a floppy, than you can also do this with a bootable USB flash drive.
I have the M7700A, well at least the D900K in the voodoo ripoff form. I have loaded the SATA drivers from a bootable flash drive and a floppy before.

Gophn will be around shortly to help with slipstreaming questions

Sorry to hear you are having problems with your system. Please follow these instructions to install the drivers for the sata controllers using a USB floppy drive but also make sure to get the right drivers as there are two: For non raid and Raid set up.

Hope this help, let us know.

RAID requires two or more harddrives. You cannot install RAID on one drive.
I think the respawn discs are just driver discs, I do not know if it actually has an operating system on it. I cant help there, I never had an alienware

Correct, you would need more than one HD in order to use the raid drivers. Regarding the respawn disk, it is an image created at the factory with original configuration which will contain not only drivers/software but also the operating system. Here is a link on how to restore the system using the respawn disk.

    Yeah I actually did that,

when I have to choose the image it gives me an error message and it says "This disk was not created with Northon Ghost", and I got the disk with the unit,

2nd If I dont have a RAID config on my unit what drivers should I load,

3rd I dont have the FLoppy USBD drive :p

5th im not happy with this lol
