    problem with M17x command center

    Hi.when i go to the command center it suddenly crashes and says "commandcenter has stopped working" what should i do?please some one help.i have also reinstalled it but nothing happend. :mad: :mad: (vista 64bit)

    Uninstall Command Center. Reboot into Safe Mode (F8 @ BIOS). Run CCleaner Registry Scan and fix any and all issues/left over traces it finds. Reboot normally. Install Command Center.

    See if that works for you.

    Ok so you followed my suggestion and 'nothing happened'... can you please describe what happened. In order for anyone to help you we need more detail.

    Was there an error message?

    You launched the installer and? did it complete? did it fail? When you ran CCleaner did you choose to fix left over entries? Did you run it CCleaner in Safe Mode? If so, how did you enter Safe Mode?

    Have you tried a respawn yet?

    Hi.first i uninstalled command center and rebooted into safe mode(pressed F8 in the BIOS)and after that i ran CCleaner and in the registry i scanned for any issues and fixed all of them after that i rebooted normally then i downloaded command center from dell (version 2.0.10, AO3) and installed it, when finished it said "alienfx tester has stopped working"but the installshield was finished and i rebooted again but unfortunately it crashed and said "commandcenter has stopped working" :mad: :(

    no haven't used the respawn yet.thanks for your support

    only if you are willing to try it, you could install the A04 CC for the m17x-R2 instead, which works on M17x-R1 flawlessly. I currently have it installed in my R1 and works just like the old A03 used to.

    the reason I tell you so is becasue during the process the CC firmware gets updated.

    so take note that it might fix some corruption that your board might have as well as it might create more trouble than the one you have.

    try this only if you are desperate, so before this you might want to reinstall windows or try alienrespawn first.

    i ran alienrespawn and now every thing is ok :) .thanks for your help.if i install the new version would it crash again?whay did it happen?
