    2gig ram (going to upgrade to 4 on the egg)
    2.6ghz
    8800GTX

    What kind of ram should I order from new egg? What have some of you used?

    Also, A dell rep emailed me saying I could get 350 off an order PLUS a 100 dollar router. It would basically be the following config:
    2.4ghz
    4gig ram
    2 8800 GTX
    120gig HD for about 3500 dollars shipped.

    I am looking at about 3200 on this setup. How much does the xps weigh? I am looking for a more portable solution (currently have an xps m1710). Plus this thing is damn sexy. I even prefer the ripley design. This is the second time ordering this machine. The first there was a problem that they messed up with my billing and I cancelled. I decided to order again!

    Where do people come up with this type of money?

    I am having trouble scraping up $850 for the Vostro that I am ordering tomorrow. Granted, I am a High School student, and I don't have a job, but 3 grand+ is still a lot of money.

    If you do go for the SLI version, that would be a sick laptop....

    The m15x is thick, I doubt it is a lot more portable than what you have...

    Anyway, this is steal...

    If you can wait 6 months, the 9600M GT should be out....for $1200.....

    Once you get a job you'll be able to put money aside. Not too hard ;)

    Mine's gonna be about $5000. I'm 21, work part time, go to school full time.

    Lots of people take out loans to pay for these kind of expenses. Personally, i have a meth lab in my basement. I kid, i kiiiid! Like stated before, once you have a job you can start saving up money for the nicer things in life.

    erm, I am 36 have a full time job, and a family
    so the darn thing has to go on my credit card :(
