    q9000 M17x processor WEI 1.9

    just done a fresh install of windows 7 and the WEI for the processor is 1.9
    iirc it was atleast 5.9 before.. very strange.. any ideas?

    Did it properly install the driver for it in device manager? Stealth mode/downclocked?

    yeah says its the most up to date driver installed :/
    it was the stock driver from the alienware site

    Well try uninstalling it in device manager, then rebooting and letting windows reinstall it. Then re run assesment.

    What clock speeds does it show?

    Check it's core speed with CPU-z.

    Also, make sure that speedstep is enabled in the BIOS.

    fixed it.. incase anyone gets same problem.
    Well not fixed, but uninstalled the new w7 x64 ultimate and reinstalled w7 home premium x64, same drivers, no problem. Not sure why but atleast the gamings back :D
