ok so today i get a brand new 42" plasma hook up the hdmi from the lappy to it everything worked great i was watching movies, streaming video from the net, tv shows off the hard drive. i then go to restart the lappy and it just keeps looping from the restart screen to just before the welcome screen for windows, wouldn't go into safe mode just kept restarting my question is this would hooking the tv up to the lappy affected some how or is this just some freak vista thing btw used respawn and system restore to get it to work, is the a resolution limit for my 8700 gt that i went over cause i never adjusted it everything on the tv looked great sorry its so long.

Hooking up to a TV via HDMI should not cause system issues. There is a small chance that the drivers do not support this (yes, many do not as they are tweaked for gaming) and had a serious malfunction. If you dare to try again, hook it up and follow the same steps as before to test it. If it happens again, then I would say switch drivers. If not, then don't worry. You also may be able to check your "Problem/Solution Center" for the BSOD error numbers.
