    question concering replaced parts from dell

    have anyone had a certified dell tech come in replace your laptop parts and take the extras back without getting charged?

    I was suppose to send back the bad hard drive within 10 days, but the tech came in and replaced it with the new hard drive but he took the hard drive with him is that ok?

    Yes. This is Dell SOP. The tech will take the replaced part and send it back to Dell. If the parts were shipped to you, then you should return them. If the tech brings the replacement part, the tech is responsible for sending them back.
