question for myskil

Is that your laptop in your Avatar? If so how do you get the alien head in red? I just ordered a m17 with a green keyboard and would like a green alien head to go with it.

 

i thought m17 came with all 3 colours, dont see an option for 1 colour on uk site

 

who's myskil? do you mean mystik? if so, you can in fact change the colors of all six lighting zones on your m15x/m17x, those zones being the alienheads, the keyboard, the touchpad, the lid light, the AW name, and the touch control buttons. with the AW standard software, you can choose from 12 different colors, with a prog like findvikas' AuroraLightsFX, you can select any RGB color you wish.

EDIT: on the m17, you can choose from three different colors for the keyboard. not sure if the AW head lights up, maybe not.

Its strange that on the USA site it makes you pick a colour - i dont know if the lights are a hardware or software configuration. Like i said the UK site is just 'illuminated keyboard' and you get all 3 colours.

 

m15x and m17x order pages let you choose a color too - this is the color your system will be set to when it's shipped. you can change it afterwards, as mentioned.

 

Just for future reference, you might of been better off just PMing Mystic instead of making a post.

spammers don't have the time to first write fifteen posts (that actually have a point, because deleted ones don't count) and then send their annoying PMs.

it prevents them from posting within the first 15, thus detering them from posting the needed 15 times prior to being able to PM...

You can change the colour of the m17 keyboard by FN + F10 I think.

Well I think it would be a nice touch if they would link the aw head color to the keyboard color. HINT HINT if any of the alienware guys see this lol.

Ok I should have worded that different. It would be nice if the aw head matched the keyboard color on the m17 with the illuminated keyboard option.
By the way I believe there are two raid controllers a software one and a hardware one maybe wrong here. Does anyone know witch type the m17 has?
