    i tried to use my laptop mics with a headset but my friends told me that i sounded like crap. there was a steady hum. i tried different settings on both ventrilo and on the laptops but they still heard the constant hum. i think it may have been the fans but i couldn't hear the fans. any ideas.
    ps. i've tried to reload the audio driver but no luck. i'm using a usb headset/mic without any issues.
