hi guys, i've been trying to get some specific info on the m17x but there is so much conflicting info i'm getting confused.
    i plan on getting a m17x with the qx9300, 2 280m's and a 1920 x 1200 screen, so here are my questions i hope you can help.

    1. Can someone please post temps of the cpu's and gpu's at full load?
    2. Can someone tell me how loud the fan is at idle and full load?
    3. Have the low performance problems of the 280 in sli config been sorted yet ?
    4. Is there a way to turn off that auto dimming screen, and keep it on full brightness.
    5. is it official that the ati 4870 with gddr5 will be released for this model and be 100% compatible?

thank you for your comments anf help in advance.

    1. CPU @ 70c and GPU @ 80c after 20 minutes. YMMV
    2. As loud as other gaming systems. Not sure what unit of measurement you want here.
    3. Performance problems? I've broken some records here.
    4. Yes in power saver but others have reported it has no affect. For me I definitely don't notice it.
    5.Nothing official yet.

I also like to know the answers to the questions, especially #5, from the experts. Cheers

EDIT: Ops, Mandrake answered them. Thanks

    Hi,
It isn't official just yet, but the new bios introduceses compatibility for AMD. I think we might actually see ATI in the future.

    Thanks,
    Gabe
