I'm assuming you're getting the 1080p screen, get the 4GB and Blu Ray reader

I'm assuming that he has to choose because of price so he can't get both. If I were you I'd go with the blu-ray unless you have a ps3 because the difference between 4 gigs of ram and 6 gigs isn't going to be that noticeable while having a way to watch blu-ray movies is going to be more important especially since movies are leaning more towards blu-ray than regular dvd.

In term of performance I would choose a SSD rather than an additional 2GB of memory.

    1. ssd
    2. blu ray
    3. 6gb ram
if each is roughly the same price, I'd add them in this order in terms of performance gain to value and additional cost

SSD of course first as others have said.
Blue ray is my second wil be using alot
Meh i have always belived that 6GB of memory is overkill (My task manager never goes above 3.2 GBS under full same load.)

you can easily upgrade the RAM in the future and furthermore, the price might be cheaper if you upgrade the RAM yourself.

1080p screen + Blu-Ray because this isn't something that can be changed in the future.

Upgrade your RAM later, it's cheaper to do it yourself anyway...
