Just call them, i will never e-mail alienware again :). The hinge of my m15x finaly broke, I called them and the agent told me to send some pictures. I did, and then waited for 5 days, no response. Called again and they toldme to send another e-mail. I waited another 3 days, no response.

After that I called them and was kinda pissed, refused to send any more e-mails. They then resolved my isssue in 30minutes by connecting to my laptop and getting the pictures from there.

So the conclusion is, never e-mail, allways call :)

1-866-ROSWELL now goes to the regular support line, at least when I've been calling the past couple of days. I'm not sure if they've been laid off, demoted (back to regular technical support), absorbed into Dell, or what....

I think Yeenvi would have mentioned that they were closing up shop when I spoke with him on Tuesday. Maybe AW reviewed our conversation "for training purposes," and thought Roswell a waste if they had the time to field non-trouble related calls.

More likely they're doing some sort of training or perhaps were experiencing high call volume due to my amazingly comprehensive thread about them, *brushes shoulder off* and rather than leave peeps on hold all day, they shuffled them over to the plain-jane CS.

I'd suggest trying the individual emails for the Roswell members, or try calling the regular AW line and use the Roswell employees' extensions.

I called and talked to Roswell-Kevin of the Roswell crew, just this past Monday. Make sure that you are calling within 9:00am - 6:00pm Central Time. Otherwise, it will automatically reroute the call to regular AW Tech Service.

I asked Yeeni Campos from the Roswell Crew, if the laying off was going to affect the Roswell Crew too, and he told me that they will still be offering Roswell Crew service regardless of it. :)

Rest assured...the Roswell Crew is still up and running so don't worry to all of you are unsure about them. :)

@Impressive - And the reason why they probably couldn't get your pictures is because each picture attached is more than 1mb. Yeenvi told me at first to resize them to under 1mb file size, but I was lazy. For security reasons, Roswell email will automatically filter out such mail as dangerous I guess  I know becuase I also had to send mine for a hinge fix, but before that I had to send pictures. The first time didn't work becuase the pics were over 3mb each. I resized them to below 1mb each, then reattached them to a second email, finally Yeenvi Campos was able to receive them.
