Hey guys. I have Alienware M15x, Rev 11, BIOS A01. I was thinking of updating my BIOS to A03 or A02, but everyone seems to have issues with the process and their system "bricking". So I am a bit scared to do it.

    Thoughts please!

Do it later when all the problems are gone.

Upgrading to A02 was no problem. The bios which was bricking pc's was A03

Actually unless they changed the A02 update there was a DOS prompt that would come up and you need to know the command to finish the update.

Actually,, THAT is what I have right now..
The first I tried it, it failed and went back to DOS!
without rebooting, I searched for autoexec.bat or whatever that will cause to autoexec upon bootup and I did it manually..

I just updated my Qosmio using a CD bootup. it was all automated. But not for the case of M15x' A02... this is why I am postponing upgrading the bios to A02 right now.

    A03 is HELL!

and that did not happen this time around: not sure what was different about the replacement mobo from the original but the A02 bios installed without issues for me
