    is it possible to change a 1440x900 screen in a 17x to the 1920x1200 version?

    The connectors are probably not the same.

    And OP, you're better off buying a 32' 1080p TV as a monitor for the price you will have to pay.

    you would actually be better off buying a 1080p 37" lcd, as those cost pretty much the same as a 1080p 32" lcd

    You can put the M17x R2 RGB LCD on the M17x R1. But it's an arm and two legs if you buy it form dell. Theres a thread on here about it. It's been done and works.

    And is it worth it? I know... You're going to tell me to just sell the R1 and move to an R2, And yeah I've already done that except I never did own an R1, and so I just bought an R2, out right. ETA, 2 weeks :(
