Hey guys. i was going through some different configs for the system that i want to order and i was thinking of going with an ssd over an HDD. does anyone know what brand alienware uses as stock in their builds?
I am trying to figure out if its worth it to me to go with a 256 gb ssd or stick with a 500 gb hdd. i dont want to spend the extra hundreds if its a piece of garbage ssd. i firgured id come ask the experts.
opinions as to whether or not going with a ssd over an hdd is worth it. capacity for me is an issue, but 256 gb should be enough. im just trying to decide whether its worth it or not. ive read a few other threads and the opinions seem to be very mixed. what do you guys think?
sorry for the typo in the thread title

don't buy the ssd from Alienware. you're better off buying one from somewhere else. the samsung that comes with Alienware does not support TRIM.

Price:GB ratio the samsungs a re a good deal. Performance wise, the are not as fast as the Intels or OCZ drives. Gotta decide whats important to you. -
