Hey Fellas, I am one of the many here that will be sending in my laptop for repairs on Monday. I have no display on my laptop and even connecting to an external monitor didn't help. It would freeze on the F8 menu bootup screen. I have the 7950 GTX and the alienware rep told me they didn't have anymore of those available, so I'm scared they are going to put in the 8700. Do any of you fellas on here have the 8800 GTS? I am still under warranty, so I'm thinking if i just want to get my money back because I bought this laptop to stay up to date with the current technology and now being told that I can't use an 8800 GTS in it by the alienware rep. Have any of you had flickering or just plain lockups in Vista with the m9750? I really regret buying this laptop now after reading all these horror stories and I think I'm going to have my own here!

I think my video card just fried for some unknown reason (maybe heat?) I was running Skype and talking to a buddy of mine and I noticed the screen started to flicker. It then locked up completely and I had a hard time getting back into Vista because it would freeze on the F8 menu. The amazing thing is I was able to get into safe mode and was able to do a full virus scan but when I restarted, it froze on the vista loading menu and then the next restart, I had no display! I then connected the laptop to an external monitor (got a display, but it froze right when it came to the F8 menu. What do you fellas reccomend I do here? I am frightened to say the least to send my system into alienware and wait weeks to get it back!
