For 300 bucks that's not bad. Do note that first off any remaining warranty (if there's any left at all) will be void as soon as you have it, as the warranty only applies to the original owner. Secondly, while the graphics cards are nice and are certainly better performing together than what you get in a laptop today for $300, do note that the processor is extremely old and will hold you back. Even the $300 laptops of today come with faster processors than that.

The processor in the m9700 is already well obsolete and the graphics cards will be soon so I'd recommend simply saving up for something better if you can.

i had a m9700 at the beginning of the year, the screen is of good quality and for $300 i think you would have trouble getting a better GPU option

if it was me and i was going to be doing light gaming its a nice cheap AW that will still run for stuff for a while yet

Evil is right tho, the CPU is a major bottle neck as it is a single core 2.2

Despite the previously mentioned processor, it's a steal for $300.

I had one of these myself, but if the warranty is out prepare to pay at least $500-$1000+/- for parts and labor in case it ever breaks.

that's not bad at all. But be warned that those gpus are very old and has a high failure rate.

also it uses dx9. While it was OK. Because consoles using dx9 there being ported to PC and many people WERE using windows xp refusing to switch to vista, windows 7 changed that with dx11.

you can't keep 3 different type of 'engines' (dx9 10 11) one is going to die.

so if you see games with dx10 and 11. Don't be mad.

that is worth it just as a toy to tinker with haha

edit: I will add, if there was an Aurora m7700 for that price, I would probably buy it to tinker with, that d900k is a pretty nifty little system and can still hold its own with current games

idk man! I know what your thinking (300 for an ALIENWARE is just sickening price), but think...its pretty much useless...and its never going to be a collectable. Id rather take that 300 bucks and put it towards something else...Anything! I mean, sports tickets or something lol. I'm just saying...when it comes to computers, its almost never worth it to "collect" something like that. But I guess one persons junk is another persons gold lol.
