    so idk about u guys but i know that windows 7 is coming out with touchscreen applications. so i was wondering if alienware would remake their laptops to have touchscreen capabilities! that would be awesome!
    i'm saving up money to get myself a m15x laptop with full specs (and blu-ray player ;) ) so i was wondering if i should wait to see what happens before buying my laptop or just going ahead and getting it once i have my money.
    i'm expected to save enough $$ by may of 09!

    the best bit of advise i heard when buyin a laptop is buy it when u need it technology moves along so fast that it doesn't matter when u buy one.

    If anything, I heard that replacing the display on the m15x isn't very hard at all. So maybe upgrading is a possibility even then. May 2009 though, things are very likely to have changed by then. Or at the least should show a sign of changing.

    that would be a fingerprint nightmare especially with the glossy screens.

    i dont see there being much change if any with the m15x by may 09
    get saving as if something like that came out on a laptop then i think you would need a morgage to pay for it.

    Not the m15x but I meant, I wouldn't be surprised to see a new model coming out in conjunction with Windows 7/Touch screen capability. At the least, some kind of sign of something new to come. Although, I wouldn't count on W7 coming out anytime soon. :p

    and thanks for all the posts. hopefully by then they'll have more info about windows 7 or something. i chatted with one of the reps at alienware.com and they said they didn't know anything about it.

    AW not knowing anything about it, hmmm now why am i not surprised.

    i think the next thing (whatever it is) to come out of AW will be BRE3D
