Clean the keyboard; pry off the key, clean it; remove the keyboard, clean it; replace the keyboard.

    In that order.

Since you have 8700s your m9750 is obviously under warranty. I would let AW fix the problem for you. Removing the keyboard is no easy task and with a notebook that new, it is likely that the keyboard is defective and should be replaced.

    1. Speak English please: a "brake" is something one uses to slow a vehicle, to break is the verb. And what the hell is a beore?

    2. How do you not have a warranty if you bought the computer less than 1 year ago, the standard included warranty?

    3. Call alienware if the PC is defective: 1-866-287-6727 within the US.

    Hi NateSlink,
The keyboard isn't too difficult to remove. I would suggest ordering a new one and just replacing it yourself. Here's the instructions.

    http://4help.alienware.com/cgi-bin/...3RleHQ9bTk3NTAga2V5Ym9hcmQ*&p_li=&p_topview=1

@mjl2142 - Instead of criticizing the grammar of forum members, I suggest you focus on helping to solve the problem. Just so that you're clear on the subject, it's "Someone help me before I break this computer"

    Hope this helps,
    Gabe

If he bought the PC not directly from alienware then he wont have a warrenty so calm down. AW warranties are non transferable

Also, if he doesnt have the warrenty, then calling AW wont do anything unless you are willing to pay alot of money to have it repaired.

You can try removing the whole keyboard or just prying the individual key off.

Now...if you did buy it from AW then you do have the 1 year warrenty and i might try to just ship it back but if you bought from a friend or ebay then i understand you dont have a warranty and you can just pry the key off or order a new keyboard from AW for a few hundred bucks.

Since he did not state either way, I assumed he was the original owner of the machine. Most people buy the computer directly from alienware, obviously.

Has the problem been resolved Nateslink?
