still got problems with graphics

hi all im not sure what ive done but in the process of trying to update my cards to 9.12 i now get freezing 1 min into games as soo as i unistall catalyst but leave the drivers in it all ok?

so now i can no longer install ccc and now when it is installed it no longer shows 9.12 everything else is their but that info where it would normally say 9.12 or 9.1 etc no longer their

 

I'd recommend trying the Enzyme Alpha 2 drivers, they're highly customized 9.11 drivers with most mobile cards working for it, 3870s included.

just tried and wont install package failure i tried twice itl be something ive done

 

can you balls up your cards with the wrong drivers in them...

as ive had hell on here if had bsod,,,,, then windows wouldnt start then i had to restore to an ealier point, then into safe mode...

im back on but ive had to unistall catalyst so ive only got the two cards.. and now my slave card cannot start due to error code 10?

any ideas before i format me lappy

 

Give drivercleaner a go if you can, if not have another shot at installing modified 9.12's, with the custom option (to see whats installing)

Then if that goes sucessful re-use the 9.12s in uninstall (custom mode) to make sure all of its going out and hopefully this will straighten a few things up.

 

lol no good still bud im now hitting error code 19 .... registry trashed...

but im installing new chipset driver from intel 14dec if your instrested to see if that will replace anything ive deleted.

 

just to know kuck have you flahed one or both card bios?

 

none neither bud ... i wasnt trying to flash anything .....just trying to update my driver pmsl

 

kk cause the isue you are describing is similar to the one some one posted some times ago after flashing both cards to master

Im not sure flashing the cards will fix anything.

Kcuk, try some stock AW drivers

(sorry did you try uninstall from device manager, then manually cancel the automatic driver installation?)

Your cards arent broken, you just broke your windows by installing so many drivers and not removing old drivers, i bet thats the problem.

Have you followed the instructions i posted yesterday step-by-step?

And why did you install chipset drivers? Thats not needed at all...

If all else fails, reinstall windows

 

i know dhc but its christmas and ive got board games and allsorts to do with me daughter.... lol and put some apps on the ipod touch you got my litttle girl for christmas was hoping i didnt have to reisntall windows.

im sure its registry as well i know ive nakerd up the windows files i was hoping that new chipset drivers and reg mechanic would fix but he ho

 

Yeah its 100% registry (From experience of doing the exact same thing.)

Although this was back when we had to manually mod 4850 drivers (instead of waiting for mobility modder to update.)

 

Ofcourse kcuk, take it easy and enjoy the days with the family.

In the next few days try it again, and if you cannot get it fixed, backup your important files and just reinstall windows again....i think that would be the best option.

 

allready backed up dhc bud as not long gone from vista to win 7 only thing is i had win7 on the usb but the wife broke the bloody thing didnt she so ill have to source the cd.... if i had the usb i would have done it today ....
