Hello. I have issues with the TV tuner. Wondering if some of you know and can help with all/some of the issues.

    • Hardware

M17 AverMedia Mini TV Tuner Adapter
AverMedia Mini Card TV Tuner A316 (DVB-T / PAL (A316 model)) Yes one of the 2 supported TV signals here is PAL, got the correct model.

    My question:

    • Software: I don't like Windows Media Center (Vista Home Prem 32bit). Do you know the AverMedia Software that WILL work with the drivers of my M17 ? What is the software for that TV tuner? It's just as important and the bad thing is when I don't see a picture on the TV window, I wouldn't know whether it is because the cables are not connected correctly (let's suppose they are) or it is a software-drivers issue. I only saw on the AverMedia site some trial download of the AverMedia Center, not the commercial one. So which one to use? (AW TechSupp told me not all Tuner software works). And it's understandable since the software needs to read your drivers for TV.

High-Quality records is my main point, so a good TV software pls.

If you are transfering your records to digital there are other choices just for that, the TV one is not the greatest.

Pinnacle has a few items you may want to check out.

If the AverMedia came with your M17 drivers will be on the AW Website.

Yes, I installed the drivers for my AverMedia TV tuner, I also have them on the Support CD.

Though I'm not sure which software can be used to watch and capture TV there because there are many that come with a TV tuner card/chip, so I don't think I can use any AverMedia software with my internal/analog TV tuner, has to be a specific one that works. The same goes for Pinnacle, I don't know which of the products. Has anyone done that and used some working software for watching&capturing high quality with M17?
