I know you have to press F8 at some point.... when I first power one, I get the alienhead(intel) pictures.... then it goes to the loading windows green bar. So should I press it before the alienhead(intel)? or right after it ends/before the windows loading green bar?

(trying to install new drivers... using drive sweeper)

As others say...MASH THE F8 KEY AS SOON AS YOU PRESS THE POWER BUTTON. Until you get into safe mode :p You can stop then.

You need to start hitting the F8 key as soon as the Bios screen comes up and as the other posters stated, hit it repeatedly until the Windows startup screen appears. If all else fails you can always power-off the system from Windows by holding down the power button for 6 seconds or so (improper shutdown). This will automatically give you the Windows startup options screen on your next boot.
