    I get approximately 1min 45 which seams like a lot since I don't have that much installed yet.

    what sort of boot times are other m9750 owners getting?

    Mine takes about 35-45 secs. with Vista Ultimate.

    Just want to point out that certain CDs and USB devices will prolong the boot process by a long time. Are you sure you dont have any USB disks attached, or SD cards installed? Maybe added a second hard drive? I would unplug anything USB, remove any external devices, and even disable Bluetooth. Just checking all options here...
