every time i try it goes back to 59 hertz.
ive tried a custom refresh rate and the test always comes back failed ?
am trying to get it to 75 hertz as my eyes are killing me.

So you are trying to get a higher refresh rate on an external CRT monitor?
On a LCD, 59Hz (which in reality, is 60Hz) should be perfectly fine for your eyes. The LCD won't display more than it's native refresh rate anyway and could be damaged if forced to.

I have been able to do it with my older alienware laptops ?
and 75 hertz was good as i was able to play games all day but now that this is on 59 hertz i have to stop every 2 hours.
