has anyone done this with that processor and did it achieve good enough results to bother?

Undervolting does give good results, but with the T9300, we have half multipliers. The undervolting programs dont recognize these, so it will round it. Which will underclock the CPU, which will make it a little slower. Therefor, I havent done it...

Hope it helps. Undervolting had quite drastic change on mine temperature, well worth it imo. -
I tried it, but it barely did anything so I decided not to bother.

If you follow the undervolting guide, you should be able to easily shave off 5-15 deg C off your current temps and a decent increase in battery life. Despite the half multiplier, the extra 100MHz is pretty pitiful difference in speed, so IMO it's well worth it to undervolt.
