i have the m14x i am within my 21 day return period. the m14x is fine but me unable to update my video card drivers from nvidia without having to resort to modded files is annoying me.

anybody here has had an experience asking to have their m14x or m11x upgraded to an m17x with success?

dell customer service has been good in bugging me if i am SATISFIED with my purchase because ive had some calls put in related to issues ive found and probably also related to my "SUPPOSEDLY" intent to buy more DELL laptops (please refer DELL ORDERING ADVICE thread).

im thinking of replying to the CUSTOMER REP and just say im not content with my M14X and am thinking of returning it OR having it UPGRADED to a M17X.

wonder what will come out of that?

Doubt that will come of much. Remember Dell is a company and out to make money, they don't usually do upgrades like that to my knowledge unfortunately, or i would have a loaded m18x right now. As to modding the drivers, thats more nvidia's problem than dells. remember, is nvidia thats writing the drivers after all. ;)

hmm... so its the other way around then? NVIDIA not tailoring to DELL? i was under the impression that DELL's 269.37 IS NOT SUPPORTING upgrades as of yet from NVIDIA was how tech support told me..

    anyways...just pondering..
